Renegade

Renegade is a concept of a pirate freighter ship. I wanted to create something that looked somewhat "retro". The image is 100% rendered as single shot in UE4 using the new offline render features including raytracing and volumetric materials (nebula). This again is an exploratory piece trying to push the idea of using UE4 as a "concept renderer" without the need of post work.The most challenging part on this piece was by far the lighting which is greatly affected by the presence of the volumetric materials. A such I had to complete the colour balancing in PS (levels, minor colour correction. Many thanks to P. Wambold from Epic Games for his help with the new render system.
